Wild Island Tour – Wassaw Island National Wildlife Refuge

Wild beaches, windswept dunes, maritime forest combine with human history of the coast, as you explore this National Wildlife Refuge with your official WiSE guide. Your new angle on the coast begins with a motorboat ride through the rich estuary, meandering the twists and turns between walls of bright green marsh grass. There we often encounter dolphins, osprey, and even bald eagles. Once ashore you’ll be guided across the island, seeing forest, dunes and Wassaw’s broad, spectacular beach. Fee: $65/person includes licensed captain and motorboat transportation to and from the island. Tour size 5-6 people. BOAT SPACE IS LIMITED; RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Call or click.
