Group Tours and Field Trips Planning, Reserving
We'll Design Your Nature Tour or Ecology Field Trip.
You'll explore the habitat, observe the wildlife, and gain understanding about how it all works together to support life. We adapt the level of information and activities our WiSE Guides provide to your group. Meeting your needs is our goal!
Group Nature Tours and field trips are designed and operated for schools, meetings, girl scouts, family reunions, corporations, conventions, and church groups. Whether you choose to focus on an activity (paddling, boating, wildlife watching), or to investigate the biology, ecology, geology, and human history of a habitat (marsh, beach, swamp, forest) – we will create a memorable nature experience for you!
Let us build a nature tour or educational field trip specifically for you. Discounted rates are available for groups of seven or more. The Nature Tours page is full of ideas of wildlife and habitats to investigate, from birds to alligators, from swamps to beaches. Use the Tour Planner page to tell us about the experience you want so we can customize a WiSE nature tours specifically for your group. We are glad to suggest the best nature tour experiences to match your goals, season, group size, ages, and desired activity level.
Begin with the tour descriptions and tell us if you want to specialize further, add transportation or a meal, or combine more than one program. We will also need to know the estimated total size of your group, and the level of any specialized instruction you want. Advance reservations of one month or more are recommended for customization.
For Groups Only
We can usually customize the length of your nature tour beyond the tour lengths listed on the Nature Tours page. There are also itineraries, boats, sites available only to groups of certain sizes. Some itineraries and group size may require concurrent sessions. Additionally, multi-day programs for groups can be arranged as sequential day tours. We can often provide an educator with specific training or degrees.
Normally provided items include drinking water, discovery tools appropriate to your program, and of course our well-educated naturalist guide or guides. sYou may make special requests for van transportation, soft drinks, snacks, or box lunches.
Once a program is designed and a date scheduled, a 33% deposit will be required to hold your dates. The balance will be due four weeks prior to your program. We accept personal, corporate, or bank checks or money orders.
Cancellations received more than one month prior to a group nature tour will be charged only a $50 cancellation fee. For cancellations received with one month of the start time, we will refund 66% of the total fee. We will make every effort to operate your program so as to accomplish your goals and give your group an enjoyable experience, making reasonable substitutions as necessary. In the unlikely event that we must cancel a program (e.g., for safety reasons) we will refund your payment in full.
