If you prefer the economy of sharing your naturalist guide with others, please investigate our weekend schedule of nature tours. We’ll focus on different natural habitat and wildlife each weekend.

	Wild Island Explorations Explore the wide, empty beaches and sculpted dunes of these islands without bridges. Full day lets you choose Wassaw Island National Wildlife Refuge or Cumberland Island National Seashore.			Alligators & Anhingas Observe alligators, egrets, anhingas, and more, as you learn how they all make a living in the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge.
	Salt Marsh Walk Come learn the fascinating inner workings of this rich natural resource that protects our shores and supports the seafood industry and beyond.			Birding Birding programs are available for all, whether your interest is general or specific— whether you are a novice or serious birder. Tell us what you want; we'll customize a program for you.
	The Forest Fringe Amble the trails in our lush maritime forests, hearing fascinating stories about native species (live oaks, magnolias, palmettos, even ilex vomitoria).			River Swamps & Reptiles Walk paths and boardwalks among the trunks and knees of the oft-flooded forest; learn habits and habitats of reptiles and other residents.
	Beaches and Borders Living in salt water is hard. Life in the zone between all fresh and all salt requires interesting adaptations. Find out how the myriad of life forms in the estuary survive.			Blackwater River Float Paddle serene rivers or creeks. Learn why this clean, clear water is black, and stop to swim from a sandbar or two along the way.
	Native Plants: Edible, Medicinal & Otherwise Useful Historical uses, current uses, woodland snacks – then and now. Let us know if you want to focus primarily on one aspect or another.			Explore the Night Sky Observe celestial objects with an 8" reflector telescope while you hear stories of the stars. Learn about black holes, and other phenomena of our universe.
	The Urban Forest Downtown Savannah is graced with a tree canopy that provides shade, textural diversity, and homes for other lives. Wander our lovely parks learning the secrets of the trees.

You Bring: Comfortable outdoor clothes, appropriate shoes, sunscreen and insect repellent, sunglasses/hat, binoculars if you have them. Don't forget your sense of curiosity!

We'll Provide: Directions to the tour site where your personal guide will meet you. Your guide will bring bottled water and wildlife observation equipment. On full-day programs we'll add a nice picnic lunch!
